1920s Art Deco 33 Piece Lunch Tea Service 24K Gold & Platinum Arzberg Germay. For sale is this FANTASTIC and rare Art Deco tea/lunch set from the 1920s. These pieces occasionally come up for sale individually, but I have never seen a whole set like this! This came from the Los Angeles estate a woman who was a starlet back in the heyday of Hollywood! This is a perfect set of entertaining, with a service for 8. These are wonderfully decadent with 24K real gold plating and real platinum medallions showing an old fashion courting couple. The pieces also have a wonderful art deco shape. There are a total of 33 pieces.
They are in great shape- I did not feel any cracks or chips, just some gold loss where they pieces have rubbed together over the last 90+ years. The exception are the candlesticks which have some damage- one has a repair as shown and the other has a chip.
These aren't strictly speaking a match- they have the same rose and daisy gold pattern but have platinum parrots instead of people, but came from the same estate. Included in the set are. 8 -7.5 Lunch/Tea plates. 8 -3.4" x 3.25" Tea Cups.
1 -5" x 3.5" x 4 Creamer. 1 -5.5" x 3.5" x 5 Sugar.
