Rare Art Deco Hutschenreuther-rosenthal Porcelain Sea Horse Fish Figurine
Here is auctioned a wonderful fish figurine of a Sea Horse designed by Hans Achtziger. Handmade and handpainted fired porcelain. His figure was produced from the. Hutschenreuther (today a a part of Rosenthal), Selb, Bavaria, Germany. First formed in the Victorian / Art Nouveau or Art Deco Period from the famous sculptor.
(ACHTZIGER is impressed in the pedestal). The Sea Horse is impressive because of the expressive and wonderful details and the exactly painting. A wonderful piece and an eyecatcher for every collection.
Tremendous Figure, outstanding details, very lifelike figurine. This was made about 60 years ago and is in original undamaged condition, as shown on the photos! It has absolutely no chips, cracks, scratches or repairs. 5,5 x 12,5 cm. This Hutschenreuther-Selb hallmark was used about 1955.Hans Achtziger (1918 2003) was a member of the German "Werkbund" und one of the most influential porcelain modellers in the 20th century. He created dinner services and a large number of exceptional animal sculptures for the brand Hutschenreuther which was acquired by Rosenthal in 2000. No chips, no cracks, no repairs. The figurine is even more beautiful as the photos can express it!
Would make a great addition to any figurine collection or a phantastic christmas present. Thank you for you tim.The figure is fixed in a box embedded with foam material and this box I put in an big box filled with styrofoam chips. 12,5 cm hoch und 5,5 cm breit.
