ROOKWOOD 1928 Rare Blue & Browns Flared Top Vase Elizabeth Barrett
A 1928 Rookwood Pottery vase by artist Elizabeth Barrett. The flared vase features a blue and brown matte glaze with seed pods. The piece is marked on the underside with the thirteen flame point logo. (1928), # 2236, and the artists cipher. Very early in Elizabeths career, she was at Rookwood from 1924 to 31 left, back from 1943 to 1948 Married Jens Jensen.
No visible chips or cracks, repairs, basically as it left the factory/artists hands; age and use wear. 5.75" W x 5,5" H x 4.75" D w/a 3" base all correct marks, initials etc.. Rare, unique wonderful piece of Art Pottery! Last picture is of a Elizabeth Barrett Vase same era/series 1928-29 same "blues & brown".
