Vintage Porcelier 1930's Art Deco, White Porcelain Sconces, REWIRED & RESTORED
Vintage Porcelier 1930's Art Deco, Green Porcelain Sconces, REWIRED & RESTORED. These medium green porcelain sconces were manufactured by Porcelier during the 1930's. They are art deco in style and are in very good condition. They have been restored and they are ready to attach to the wall.
The sconces have new wiring and. Good pull chain switches including new nickel plated chains. When we got the sconces, they were missing the porcelain nuts that held the sockets in place and were missing the pull chain knobs. We replaced the porclain nuts with nickel plated brass and added white synthetic pull chain knobs that will last as long as the sconces.
Also, we disassembled the switches, cleaned and lubed them, and they are guaranteed to work smoothly and correctly. However, we recommend that a wall switch be the principal on/off mechanism.
This kind of pull chain socket is no longer made, and if one breaks you have to salvage another one to repair it. However, the pull chains give that 1930's look and if you are restoring an older home, these might be perfect. The mounting hardware is included (nickel plated mounting nuts, threaded nipples, crossbars). The sconces have been tested, are guaranteed to work correctly, and to be as described.The outlets have been disconnected. Dimensions: 9-1/2" high (to end of chain), 4-3/4" wide, project 4 from the wall. Just notify us within 30 days of receiving them.
