Art Deco PAULDING White Ceramic Sconces, modern wiring, good pull switches, w/ mounting hardware. These white porcelain bath sconces were made by Paulding during the 1920's or 1930's.

They are art deco in style and are in good condition with only minor, original defects in their finish (see photos). There are no significant defects. Both of the pull chain knobs are perfect... And that is unusual because they usually have chips around the top. We have removed all the paint splatters from the sides and they are ready to install. The sconces have new wiring, and the pull chain switches work smoothly and correctly. We disassembled the switches, cleaned and lubed the contacts, and they work perfectly. We also installed new nickel plated chains. We recommend that a wall switch be the primary on/off mechanism for these, because the pull chain sockets like these are no longer made and if one breaks, you must find a used one to repair it (or bypass it). However, these switches are working well and might last another 40 years, who knows? But just in case, a wall switch is the better alternative. However the pull chains give these that period look so if you are restoring an old bathroom, these might be perfect. Dimensions: wall plate is 6-1/4" high but overall length to bottom of chain is 7-1/4", 3-3/4" wide, and projects 3-1/2" from wall. They use standard base bulbs (not included).

All mounting hardware (nickel plated brass nuts, threaded nipples, crossbars) is included in sale. Also, if you would prefer the chains to be shorter we would be glad to do so or to include instructions for you to do it yourself. We have other sconces and other porcelain fixtures for sale, so please check out our lighting store.
