This is a superb antique Imperial Nippon vase made of porcelain and hand-painted with cherry blossoms, a popular Japanese theme. The vase is signed by the company and artist and features intricate gold encrusted details, gold accents, and hold trim. 1919 during the early 20th century Art Deco era.
The vase is matte finished and has a beautiful appearance. It is a studio crafted original production with a printed backstamp. Great attention has been paid to the making of this vase, and it is capable of drawing your eye, even when mingled with an Asian collection. There are no nicks, chips, or cracks. No glued repairs or restoration.
There is some gold loss on the side handles, and at the end of 2 feet. The vase stands approximately 7 1/2" in height and approximately 5 1/4" in width from handle to handle. There is a shallow, small, firing separation on one edge.
It has been glazed over and not considered damage. It is shown in the last enlarged photo. Pictures are a part of the description.
