Antique pair of porcelain candelabrum, Giulio Richard of Milan, c. 1880
Wonderful pair of antique figurine candelabrum. Painted in smooth, pastel colours with a dichromatic pink aesthetic; both elegantly perch atop their naturalistic plinths. Marked on the base with JR monogram. There is a definite similarity with Meissen figures, particularly the early period.
Certainly, this is a unique work of a high-class craftsmanship. Young man is in practically flawless condition without signs of restoration, small chips on the leaves of the roses and twigs of the roses which are lying at his feet. Lady has been professionally restored around the neck, very well put together - as well as professional restoration of the left hand; small chip on the flower in the left hand. Please carefully regard all photos. 27.5 cm in height.
