Arbeitet seit 1922 für die Porzellan-Manufaktur Hutschenreuther in Selb und war dort fast 4 Jahrzehnte tätig. 1941 Ehrenpreis für Plastik in Bayreuth.

War einer der bedeutensten Porzellanmodelleure des 20. Jahrhunderts, seine Arbeiten brachten ihm hohes Ansehen im In- und Ausland. Gilt als Mitbegründer des Rufes der Hutschenreuther Kunstfiguren.

Schuf zahlreiche herausragende Figurinen, wie u. "Mephisto", "Sonnenkind", "Nach dem Bade" und "Finale". Auch die Vielfalt seiner Entwürfe war bemerkenswert, die Palette reichte vom lieblichen Puttenkerzenleuchter bis hin zur klassischen Art Deco Figur. Literatur: Vollmer, Band IV (Q-U), Seite 484.
