Please note both arms have been professionally repaired at some time ago, smooth to the touch(See Pictures 10,11) Will pack very carefully. Wonderful porcelain sculpture of Isadora Duncan American dancer from Karl Ens Porcelain Manufactory. Young lady surrendering herself completely to her dance in light pink and buttercoloured softly falling dress, barefeet, with her arms held up high gracefully. Wonderfully crafted and painted face expression and hair.
Hands are detailed to the littlest fingernails, the light fall of the dress is designed expressively and shows the lines of the lady's body and legs. Designed by Anton Büschelberger around 1920. Marked on the bottom of the base with the painted green ENS mill mark. She abandoned classical ballet traditions and danced to classical music and her movements were conducted "in the name of naturalness".
