Art Deco Sauche For Limoges Porcelain Night Light Young Lady Holding A Deer

  
Here is an uncommon Art Deco 1920's Sauche for Limoges hand painted porcelain night light in the form of a young lady cuddling a deer. She is wearing a dress that has peach highlights with gilt trim and a gilt rose on her dress by shoe. Her face painted with black and red detail and having black painted hair with sgraffito decoration. The deer painted in gilt with black painted eye and eyelash detail. There are two factory made holes to the back for fitting and wiring. The night light measures 9 inches high by 5 1/2 inches at widest point. Weighs 708 g before packing. Stamped to the base in black with Sauche France and over stamped in blue with Limoges.

It does not have the bulb holder or wiring flex. Dates to the 1920's.

CONDITION: Her black hair has some paint flaking as in pictures 6, 7 and 8. Otherwise it is in good condition.
