This is a rare and beautiful item in good condition. If you collect Shelley you will know that there may be the odd tiny dot of grit or paint from when it was made, that apart, the paintwork is about as good as it gets. If you look closely under light you can spot some crazing to the saucer and tea plate and there is also a tiny grey mark on the edge of the saucer which may be a small fleabite although it feels smooth, but nothing that spoils the display and there are no chips, cracks or restoration so this is an opportunity to acquire a top drawer example of, perhaps, the most iconic and stylish British Art Deco shape design of all, in a similarly appealing pattern that epitomises the genre. All the pieces ring beautifully as they should. Vogue teacups are 6.5cm high and have a maximum diameter of about 10cm, the tea plate is 16.5cm wide and the saucer has a diameter of 13.5cm.
