Boch La Louviere Belgium Egyptian Blue Crackle Art Deco Porcelain Box c. 1931
Today we're offering a gorgeous "Egyptian Blue Crackle" hinged, porcelain box made by Boch Freres of the "Boch la Louviere" company (Belgium), circa 1931 per the (stamped) mark on the bottom of the box. The finish makes it look like it was made of real turquoise and the beautiful gold-gilded bezel adds such an elegant look. It measures 5.5" long by 4" wide and a little more than 1.5 deep. The condition is good with no cracks or repairs we can find. There are small areas of scratching or scuffs around the outer rim of the lid and a couple of tiny chips on the bottom. The interior has a few tiny fleabites. We see a bit of a gap where the bezel meets the top of the lid in the back. Overall, it appears to be in good condition displaying some wear.
