Signed: Guido Cacciapuoti made in Italy on the back of the dress. Condition: Good minor wear on the wooden base and very minor on the flowers.

Depiction: An italian maiden holding a basket of flowers. The flowers are very ornated and all hand made and hand painted. H39cm x W37cm x D33cm.

Guido Cacciapuoti, coming from a family of 19th-century Neapolitan ceramists, founded the ceramics studio'Grès arte Cacciapuoti' in Milan in 1931. As a sculptor and artistic director, he was responsible for the manufacture of successful art deco porcelain animal figures and female sculptures. These quickly became sought-after collectibles.
