FREE PICK-UP IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. Up for your consideration is a fine pair of Carlton ware vases in the Chinese Temple pattern, c. The vases are black, with the rarer ox-blood red ground.
They are adorned with colorful raised enamels and gold highlights throughout. The vases are in excellent condition, free of chips, cracks, crazing, or losses to the enamel. The gold is bright and complete. There is one area to the shoulder of one vase where the red is slightly lighter, perhaps from contact from the shoulder of the other vase.
