The first of his manufacture founded in 1885 by Friedrich Goldscheider in Vienna, Austria. This particular piece is in very high quality and glaze and believed to be original from Europe. Later, in mid 20th century, harlequins were very popular in North America & other countries, therefore there are many low quality & poorly glazed copies with unattractive faces figurines in the marketplace. There is faint impressed mark on the pedestal on the back of the sculpture, but barely seen & hard to catch on the photo (see 2 photos before collage photo).
It has also registered number on the same impressed mark, which seems to be 497 or 498. There is also remaining of black mark on the bottom. Height 10" (25 cm) x W 6" (15 cm). Condition : There are 3 small chips, one thin hair line & fine scratch - all imperfections are in lower part of sculpture - see collage picture. Pack with extra care, extra packing material & a lot of love.
