Pair of PORCELIER White Porcelain Sconces, Art Deco, New Rotary Sockets & Wiring
Pair of PORCELIER White Porcelain Sconces, Art Deco, Restored, New Rotary Sockets & Wiring. These white porcelain sconces were manufactured by Porcelier sometime between 1928 and 1953, the lifetime of the company. However, they are art deco in style and the 1930's is the most likely time of manufacture. The porcelain is in very good condition but his some very small discolored spots. We carefully cleaned the fixtures, removing the old wall paint from along the sides and most of it from the back. The original pull chain sockets were missing when we got these, so we installed standard base sockets with built-in rotary switches. The unpolarized, ungrounded two-prong outlets at the bottom of each fixture do not work.
One was missing the parts and we have disconnected the other. If really needed, the remaining outlet can be made to work. The fixtures are 4-1/4" wide x 7" high where they meet the wall and they project 4 from the wall. They use standard base bulbs.
Just notify us within 30 days of receiving them. We have a lot of antique porcelain sconces and other antique lighting for sale, so please check out our our lighting store.
