Pair Restored PORCELIER Porcelain Sconces, Art Deco & MCM, Rewired, withHardware
Pair of PORCELIER Porcelain Sconces, Ar Deco & MCM, Rewired, Restored! These porcelain sconces were manufactured by Porcelier sometime between 1928 and 1953, the lifetime of the company. They are suitable for both art deco and MCM motifs. The fixtures are off-white in color and have pink and green floral decorations and gold accents. The porcelain is excellent and the only flaws are minor losses to the 24k gold accents. The gold lies above the glaze rather than under it like the rainbow colors and it is soft and subject to abrasion losses. We have carefully cleaned the fixtures, removing the dirt and old wall paint from along the sides and back. We rewired them and we also cleaned and polished the electrical contacts. Each fixture has an unpolarized, ungrounded two prong socket in the base.
We have disconnected these since they are not the modern 3-wire, grounded outlets. However, all of the parts are there and they can be made to work if necessary. The fixtures are 4-1/8" wide x 5-1/2" high where they meet the wall, and they project 4-1/4 from the wall.
They use standard base bulbs. Mounting hardware (brass mounting nut, threaded nipple, crossbar) is included. Just notify us within 30 days of receiving them.
We have a lot of antique porcelain sconces and other antique lighting for sale, so please check out our lighting store. At the time of listing we have a second pair of sconces that are identical to these in another listing.
