Czech Amphora Porcelain Owl Figure. Nice condition, great paint with dark to light contrast. It has a mark on the back of the head shown in the last image. There are images taken in and outdoors to show this in natural and artificial lighting.

A magnificent Mid 20th Century Vintage Czech Amphora Porcelain Owl Sculpture. The Amphora Porcelain Works existed from 1892 - 1945 in the Teplitz-Turn area of Bohemia, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, but since 1918, in Trnovany in the Czech Republic. Stellmacher left the undertaking in 1905, and Kessel left in 1910. As the partnership changed, the company became known by different names, but the pieces were always known as Amphora porcelain, the concern eventually being nationalised in 1945.
