Rare French Art Deco Porcelain Tea Service for Rouard 1930s Tableware
Have nothing in your houses that you do not consider to be beautiful or useful. Rare French Art Deco Porcelain Tea Service for Rouard 1930s. An exquisite porcelain tea service in one of the favourite art deco colors celadon blue/green, composed of 10 wide-brimmed cups and saucers, a cream/milk jug, a lidded sugar bowl and a round lidded tea pot. The cups and the sugar bowl have unusually styled flat ring handles. Created for the famous Rouard Arts of the Table shop, located on the Avenue de LOpera in Paris, the tea service dates from the 1930s. The set is in very good condition with one tiny pinprick chip on the edge of a cup, invisible when on a saucer. All other pieces are in excellent condition no chips, no cracks and no fissures.
The color is clean and very sharp and every piece is stamped Rouard. Its a very handsome tea service which stands out on display. Vintage and antique objects have lived and been used and because of that, they sometimes show it. The condition of the object is described as accurately as possible, including its character flaws. But that is really part of the attraction and enjoyment of an old piece.
