Charming Rosenthal porcelain Blackamoor figurine - "The Flute Player", by Hugo Meisel. Maker's Mark in green underglaze.

H Meisel incised on bottom. White glaze with dark skin and gilding on slippers, pockets, belt buckle, turban, and on base. 7 1/4" T x 4" L x 2 1/4 W.

Owned by a now-deceased collector. Unusual to find one with gilding.
