Rosenthal Porcelain Toucan with Grapes, Art Deco Bird (B)
CONDITION: Excellent, without defects of any kind. This porcelain figurine produced in Germany by Rosenthal around 1949. This mark was used at that time. The bird is 9 1/4 inches tall and 7 inches wide. The size is impressive and highly decorative. The toucan is modeled in a recognizable art deco style popular in the 1940s. His coloring is vivid and eye-catching. His eyes are piercing, as he clutches his grapes, as if to say, "I'm not giving these grapes up". This is an amazing piece which can be appreciated in "the round". The Post Office requires this.
