This very-hard-to-find Schafer Vater German porcelain Devil creamer measures 3 1/2" by 3 1/2". It dates to the late 19th or early 20th Century and is in is in very good condition with just a chip to one wing tip. With bulging eyes and pointed chin, pointed ears and pointed horns, his face is distorted with glee. Imagine him spewing cream from his mouth. The fleshy wings are ribbed and pointed.

On each red thigh is the molded shape of a flying bat. He's well painted in bright, vivid colors. Marked on the bottom "Made in Germany" and impressed numbers 6862?
