MAGNIFICENTLY DESIGNED HOLLOHAZA PORCELAIN VASE. Presenting an exquisite porcelain vase designed by the renowned folk surrealist artist Endre Szasz for the quality Hungarian makers, Hollohaza circa 1970s. The sleek, cylindrical form is spectacularly decorated with a captivating design featuring a classical Goddess along with fabulous whale about to swallow a smiling sun. The design is rendered in contrasting black and white tones and lavishly detailed with glistening 21k gilt gold accents.
The style is reminiscent of the iconic works of Fornasetti, seamlessly blending surrealism with Art Deco design elements and symbolist motifs to create a wonderfully dynamic yet harmoniously balanced work of art which is an absolute delight to behold. SIZE: This impressive vase stands approx 200mms tall, measures 65mms in diameter at the base and 85mms in diameter at the flared rim. This piece weighs approx 400 grams. CONDITION: This exceptional example is presented in magnificent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
The porcelain body is clean and stain free and the glistening gold details display no losses or wear. This stunning vase has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly.
