Wallendorf Art Deco Ballerina Dancing Girl Vintage Porcelain Figurine Germany Rare. Wallendorf Ballerina Dancing Girl figurine, made by Wallendorf porcelain Factory in Thuringia, Germany 1930s. The figurine depicts a lovely little girl in a white ballerina dress and golden shoes. Porcelain production began in the municipality of Wallendorf, Thuringia in 1763 and operated under numerous restructurings, including its 1953 nationalization under the East German government, until 2008.
THIS IS A VERY RARE COLLICTIBLE IN GREAT CONDITION. The figurine is exquisitely executed and finished in bisque porcelain with glazed accenting.
The beautiful face of the girl is artfully hand painted. The figurine is marked at the base with the Wallendorf Crown "W" mark, Germany (indicates production before WWII). The figurine is as seen in the photos. 3.25" high and 4.25" wide. Figurine is in practically perfect condition and has no chips, cracks or repairs.The only imperfection to note is the missing thumb finger on the left hand (see photo). The hand painted face figurine is in mint condition.
