Porcelain production began in the municipality of Wallendorf, Thuringia in 1763 and operated under numerous restructurings, including its 1953 nationalization under the East German government, until 2008. The figurine is exquisitely executed and finished in bisque porcelain with glazed accenting. The beautiful face of the girl is artfully hand painted. The figurine is marked at the base with the Wallendorf Crown "W" mark, Germany (indicates production before WWII).It features the BIRKS label with inventory number on the bottom. The figurine is as seen in the photos.
5.5" tall and 2.3" wide. Figurine is in perfect condition and has no chips, cracks or repairs. The hand painted face figurine is in mint condition.
